At present, the market size of tourist resorts in China is steadily growing and showing multi-dimensional development characteristics. The integration of culture and tourism has deepened, the demand for short-distance micro-vacations has risen, digital transformation has accelerated, the coverage rate of smart tours has exceeded 82%, green and low-carbon have become standard features. However, while the industry is developing, homogeneous competition is prominent, some regional tourism products lack distinctive features. The development gap between central,western regions and the eastern regions is obvious. The transformation of the profit model still needs to be broken through. The phenomenon of relying on the ticket economy has not been completely changed. However, the overall outlook for the tourism and vacation market is optimistic. With policy support, rural vacations and themed products will rise. The demands of Generation Z and the elderly will drive the upgrade of customized services. Regional collaboration and technological empowerment will help the industry make a leap towards high-quality development
